Birthday Parties are a very important part of growing up. Every parent wants their child to have happy memories of their childhood and so having a fabulous birthday party means a lot. There are so many choices available today from Swimming Parties, Football Parties, MacDonalds, Indoor Play Centres, Paintballing, etc etc. Everyone seems to want to host a birthday party. Even with so many options it is still a special treat to have a really good professional children’s entertainer to come and put on a show. So how do you know if an entertainer is going to be any good if you haven’t seen them working ? Its always a good idea to ask around and see what others say. Ask if the entertainer has had any formal training or belongs to any recognised organisations. Make sure that they have public liability insurance and a CRB certificate. Beware of cheap prices, this is never a good sign and do read any relevant testimonials or letters / comments from other satisfied customers.
So what makes children laugh ?
Well if you are going to entertain children you certainly need to know what will amuse them and what they will laugh at. As I have been working with children and entertaining children for an awful long time so I guess I should know all the answers, says I with a smile on my face...hmm ? If you are a parent and are thinking of running a birthday party yourself ( it will save money but you might need a few days off work to recover ), then here is my list based on years of extensive study : watching you fall over, unusual noises, animal sounds, things that are too big or too small, grown ups getting in a pickle, things falling apart or falling over, people getting wet or in a mess,things getting tangled up, silly songs, daft jokes,exaggeration, whacky stories, stupid names, facial expressions, when you get in a muddle or forget things, when something is easy and you get it wrong, missing the obvious, silly walks,the unexpected, bananas, underpants, accidents, slapstick, Double Dutch, walking into the door...ouch ! Children love he crazy antics of Mr Chuckles as he is affectionately known by his little pals. There is no mistaking Chuckle with his huge feet, red nose , baggy clothes and mass of red hair. He will certainly tickle your funny bone !
