Get everyone up and dancing
Line dancing is social, energetic and easy to adapt to almost any group. You don't need a partner and you certainly don't need to be an experienced dancer. Hazel teaches the steps clearly, practices them without music first and then gets everyone dancing together.
The aim isn't to turn your guests into expert dancers. It's to get people joining in, laughing and enjoying themselves.
From a dozen people to several hundred
Hazel has taught line dancing at small private parties, weddings and hen parties as well as large public and corporate events involving hundreds of people. As long as there is enough suitable dancing space, the format can be adapted to the size and ability of the group.

Perfect for themed events
Line dancing is an obvious choice for a Country & Western, Wild West or cowboy-themed event, but you don't need a themed occasion to enjoy it. Hazel can use a mixture of traditional country music and more modern tracks depending on the audience.

Hazel chooses dances to suit the group rather than expecting beginners to cope with complicated routines. She demonstrates the steps from the front where everyone can see, talks the group through them and uses a microphone so instructions remain clear even with a large audience.
Once everyone has practised the sequence, the music goes on and the fun begins. Dances can be changed or simplified according to how the group is getting on.
Build the session around your event
Line dancing doesn't have to occupy the whole evening. Hazel can provide a single focused session or several shorter sets at appropriate points during the event. Historically she has worked with sets of around 20, 30 or 45 minutes as well as longer sessions.
Where appropriate, Hazel can also provide background music during breaks, make announcements and include simple party dances or games. We can agree what is useful before the event rather than applying a fixed package to every booking.

Do guests need to know how to line dance?
No. Hazel regularly teaches complete beginners and chooses straightforward dances that people can learn during the session.
Do people need a partner?
No. That's one of the advantages of line dancing — everyone follows the same sequence in lines or rows without needing a dance partner.
How many people can take part?
Anything from a small private group to several hundred people can work, provided the venue has enough safe dancing space and the sound system is suitable for the group.
How long is a session?

Does it have to be Country & Western music?
No. Country music works particularly well, but line dances can also be taught to modern and familiar popular music. Hazel can adapt the choice to the event.

Yes. Hazel can provide her own PA system and radio microphone, which helps ensure everyone can hear the instructions clearly.
