Children's Magic Shows
Funny, interactive magic by Mr Ron for children's parties, family events, fairs and celebrations. Based in Richmond, North Yorkshire, Ron entertains children throughout North Yorkshire, County Durham and the North East — with plenty of audience participation and silliness along the way.
Magic designed for children
Entertaining a room full of excited children is very different from performing magic for adults. Mr Ron's children's shows have been developed specifically to keep younger audiences involved, laughing and joining in from the start.
The magic is mixed with comedy, silly stories, gags, balloons and lots of participation. Children don't simply sit and watch — they become part of the fun.
Birthday party entertainment
For birthday parties, the entertainment can be provided as a complete package rather than just a short magic show. A typical format can include a longer comedy magic show, time for the children to eat and sing Happy Birthday, followed by music, dancing and party games.
The birthday child can help with the show if they want to, but there is never any pressure to take part.
Magic for events
For family fun days, fairs, open days, Christmas events and similar occasions, shorter 20 to 30 minute magic shows work particularly well. Several performances can be scheduled during a longer booking, and the content can be varied.
Magic can also be combined with other Jolly Good Productions entertainment such as Punch & Judy, balloon modelling or a fun workshop.
What makes the show work?
- Comedy magic aimed at younger children
- Lots of audience participation
- Funny routines, gags and silly business
- Balloon-based tricks and visual magic
- Experienced handling of excited groups
- Flexible formats for parties or public events
- Other entertainment can be combined with the show
The Magic Bubble Ring
Where practical, the party can also include the Magic Bubble Ring — a large bubble effect that allows a child to stand inside a giant bubble. It makes a memorable photo opportunity and is often popular with the adults too.

Request a QuotationEntertainment that takes some pressure off the grown-ups
A children's birthday party can be hectic. Having a structured entertainment programme means the children have something to focus on and the adults can spend more time enjoying the occasion rather than continually trying to organise the next activity.
Mr Ron can take care of the entertainment, guide the children through the party and help keep the event moving at a sensible pace.

Frequently asked questions
What ages is the show best for?
The classic children's show is particularly suited to younger primary-age children, roughly four to eight years old. We can advise based on the age range at your event.
How long is the show?
For public events, a shorter show of around 20–30 minutes usually works best. Birthday party packages can be much longer and can include games and other entertainment.
Does the birthday child have to help?
No. They can be invited to take part if they would enjoy it, but there is no pressure.
Can you perform more than one show at an event?
Yes. Several shorter shows can be scheduled during a longer booking, and the routines can be varied.
Can magic be combined with other entertainment?
Yes. Depending on timings, it can be combined with Punch & Judy, balloon modelling, face painting or fun workshops.
What space do you need?
A clean, dry and reasonably flat performance area is best. For outdoor events, cover is preferable. Children should be able to sit where they can see clearly, with adults supervising.
What information do you need for a quotation?
Please provide the date, venue or postcode, type of event, approximate times, number of children and age range.
