Punch & Judy Show for Hire
A colourful, traditional Punch & Judy show with hand-carved wooden puppets, plenty of audience participation and the unmistakable voice of Mr Punch.
A proper traditional Punch & Judy show
Punch & Judy is one of Britain's best-known forms of traditional entertainment. It still works wonderfully well at modern events because children quickly become involved in the action — and adults often enjoy it just as much.
Ron Wood is an experienced professional entertainer who has performed Punch & Judy at family fun days, festivals, agricultural shows, community events, visitor attractions, shopping centres and private celebrations. Jolly Good Productions has been providing professional entertainment since 1990. The show is lively, visual and designed to draw an audience.
Ideal for shows, festivals and family events
A Punch & Judy show is particularly well suited to events where organisers need entertainment that appeals across the generations. Shows can normally run for around 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the event, and the programme can be varied by changing characters and routines.
For longer engagements, several performances can be given during the booking period. The traditional booth creates an obvious focal point and the puppets are performed high enough to be seen by a good-sized audience.

Mr Punch has been entertaining British audiences for centuries. Samuel Pepys recorded seeing an early version of the show in London in 1662. Over time, the marionette show developed into the glove-puppet tradition familiar today and became especially associated with fairs, streets and seaside resorts.
The show has changed with its audiences, but its essential appeal remains the same: colourful characters, comic conflict, quick-moving action and a noisy audience that is very much part of the performance.
